When I find a good book I don’t just read it, I study it.
I read each chapter, paragraph and word consciously. I also meditate on it morning and evening, I re-read snippets throughout the day and I place it under my pillow before I go to sleep.
I want to “absorb” good books, not just read them because I want my subconscious mind to grasp and assimialte their wisdom and knowledge so that I can quickly become what I’m being taught, not just hope and wish it will happen for me.
To change your life, you need to change your energy but you can only change your energy if your subconscious mind grasps the new knowledge that you are understanding consciously.
You need to draw new and higher knowledge into your being and make those consciously understood theories subconscious, because if you only understand it mentally without feeling it, it won’t change your energy, and will sit, like oil on top of water, in your conscious mind not creating any change.
A couple of weeks ago I started reading a book that resonated so strongly with me that I decided to “absorb it. It’s Wayne Dyer’s book “Wishes Fulfilled,” and although many of his theories and opinions I already knew (consciously), I was aware that I hadn’t yet assimilated enough of it (subconsciously), so I began bringing it into my meditations and studying as much of it as I could.
Very quickly some remarkable things started to happen:
* I started to sleep less. I’m the type of gal that always needed 8 – 9 hours of sleep a night, mostly because I’m psychic and just need longer to “unplug” but since reading and practicing Wayne Dyer’s book, I’ve been sleeping much less. At the moment I go to bed between 11:00 – 12:30 and wake between 5:30 – 06:30.
* I now bring my manifestations into my dream state. For years now, before I go to bed every night I do the chakra cleanse meditation, channel White Light and then use the White Light to manifest.
Wayne Dyer says though, that the last 5 minutes before you go to sleep hugely influence your life because, as you are moving from waking consciousness to sleep, your subconscious mind is alert and highly impressionable. So whatever you visualise before you fall asleep is readily assimilated by your subconscious mind as truth, so you need to make sure it is something positive!
Although I was already ending my day on a “high note,” I wasn’t taking my manifestations into snoozeland with me, so now I consciously fall asleep visualising and affirming my manifestations.
Within a couple of days only I already noticed the effects of this…
When I now wake up in the morning I can “see” the characters in my dreams sitting at the end of my bed and before my day begins, they interpret my dreams for me. This is a fascinating experience and although I’ve always enjoyed an “active” dreaming life, this takes it to a whole other level!
*I now constantly affirm to myself during the day that “Everything is possible.” It takes time for your subconscious mind to “catch up” with what you are wanting to create, so I’m helping my subconscious mind believe this by chanting it regularly.
I already believe that many things are possible, but I want to stretch myself and shoot for the stars and believe that everything is possible. It takes time to cultivate steadfast belief systems, so chanting this helps me keep my vibrations raised, my energy expanded and “pioneer and visionary self” alive.
