Your body is the vessel of your soul. This means – your body houses your soul while you are on earth for this incarnation. Your body is the vessel through which you experience life on earth, and through which you live and express your life purpose.
Without a body, you couldn’t live this earthly existence.
Many people dislike their bodies. They find them unhealthy and un-beautiful. They feel encumbered, ‘heavy’, restricted and uncomfortable within them. They dislike their bodies, and wish they could have healthier and happier ones. Some people actually hate their bodies and wish they didn’t have one at all.
Body hate is a form of self-hate. If we hate the body we live in, we hate ourselves. Yet, I’ve found that trying to get people to love their body often isn’t the best way to get them to feel good about their body.
I’ve found that the easiest way to get people to begin to love their body is to get them to understand that the only function of the body is to be the vessel of the soul. That means – the body in itself isn’t important.
When we die and move over into the light, we will leave our body behind. It will be as simple as taking off a dress, stockings and shoes and putting them back into the wardrobe. So to begin to feel good in your body, you need to firstly understand the role your body plays. And when you understand this, when you understand that the body is only a vessel for the light and magnificence of your soul, you then stop placing so much emphasis and importance upon something which is impermanent.
What then happens is that you align with the truth; you align with, and draw closer to that, which is permanent: your soul. When you align with the truth – that your body is merely a vessel for your soul – the light of your soul begins to radiantly shine through your body, healing it and making it beautiful.
It all starts with a shift of perspective. Drawing closer to that which is permanent and true, and stepping away from that which isn’t.
with love,
