I’m crazy about fresh starts. Just ask my husband. I’m always throwing out what we don’t need, cleansing the house, and I’m a neat freak. This doesn’t always make me easy to live with but I know the power of keeping life fresh and the importance of keeping chi flowing.
I wouldn’t say I’m a ‘fresh-start’ addict – I just love to keep chi flowing and stop it from stagnating.
Chi stagnates in our life when we don’t move and flow. This can happen by:
- not exercising
- not meditating
- not keeping our home tidy
- not throwing out or giving away things we no longer need
- not talking about issues with our family and friends that need to be addressed
- by being resentful instead of forgiving
- by being broken-hearted instead of getting out there and trying again
- by not allowing prosperity to flow into our lives
- and by being stuck in thoughts of the past and present.
Every night before I go to sleep, I meditate. I usually don’t chakra cleanse (I chakra cleanse during the day), I usually practice intense presence. By intense presence I mean – I sink into the space of nothingness and witness myself dissolving. I dissolve my thoughts, my problems, my beliefs, my opinions, my fears, the struggles and challenges of the day, my hopes and dreams, and current creative and spiritual projects I’m involved in etc.
I also dissolve my roles: being a mum, being a wife, being a psychic, being a teacher, being a friend, being a human, being a woman etc. I want to wake up every day with a fresh start. I want to start each and every day witnessing the world through the eyes of a child – I want to live fully in the present moment.
And for me, the way to do this is by becoming nothing each night – no mind, no problems, no past, no future, no roles, no identity. So that every day I can start afresh, with healthy and life-giving chi pumping happily throughout my entire energy-field and chakras.
with love,
BelindaP.S. This technique as well as everything I teach and share about presence practicing and mindfulness I’ve learnt from the great man: Eckhart Tolle.
