Contrary to popular belief, we have more than one soul mate.
Whether they’re called our soul mate, kindred spirit, twin soul, twin flame, other-half or beloved, we aren’t destined to only have deep, soulful connections with one other person on the planet.
Romantic notions and spiritual idealisms perpetuate the belief of being destined to only have one life love. We’re conditioned to think there is one person in the world we are destined to love romantically and wholly, and through finding our soul mate will obtain our “completeness.”
When Tom Cruise’s character in the film Jerry Macquire said to his romantic interest, “You complete me”, I sighed disparagingly, thinking of the countless numbers of people who had asked me how to find their other-half so that they could (finally) find happiness.
Apart from the question of “How can I discover my life’s purpose?,” “How can I find my soul mate?” is the question I get asked most often in my medical intuitive sessions. People are scared of missing out on finding their soul mate, and they’re equally as scared to mess up their current relationship in case that person is their other-half.
Every week I get numerous requests in my free White Light sessions to help people find, meet and re-unite with their twin flame, but the emphasis on soul mate-ship is overrated, and mostly, misunderstood.
You are not destined to only have one soul mate, and your soul mate doesn’t need to be in a romantic relationship. Your soul mate is any person, animal or being that you feel connected to and share a bond with, and as you spiritually evolve you will discover that you enjoy soul mate relationships with many people and beings!
I enjoy a romantic soul mate relationship with my husband, but I also have soul mate relationships with my mother, daughter, sisters and friends.
I also know that each person has numerous people they can have a romantic soul mate relationship with, and that being destined for one person only is simply not true.
Many people equate a twin soul connection with a past life history but not all karmic relationships are meant to be re-lived in this lifetime. Just because you know someone from another life, doesn’t mean he/she needs to be in your life in this life. Your life lesson may be to make an empowered choice to not be with them in this life!
Also, we are all interconnected and made up of the same source energy, so from an enlightened person’s perspective the notion of a soul mate is limiting. Enlightened people share soul mate connections with everyone and everything, knowing that we are all brothers and sisters of the light.
Self-actualised people obtain deep and fulfilling relationships by knowing and experiencing their own “completeness,” and this is the sure fire way to enjoy enriching soul mate relationships.
with love,
Belinda
