How I Thought Myself Thin

Key to Yourself by Venice Bloodworth was one of the first self-help books I read.

This was a few years after Louise Hay’s remarkable book You Can Heal Your Life entered my orbit, and as soon as I’d read the first page of Key to Yourself, I knew I’d found a life long companion.

What I immediately loved about Venice Bloodworth was her no-nonsense practical approach to spirituality and manifesting. I also loved her clarity of thought and concept, and was deeply inspired by her to change my thoughts and re-program my subconscious mind to create a better life for myself.

After only reading a few chapters, I made a commitment to follow her prescribed method for thinking myself thin, and it worked!

In chapter 14 of her book, called “Health, Youth, Beauty” she teaches you how to (literally) re-program your subconscious mind to create health, youth and beauty in your body.

I must admit, at a first glance, this promise seemed unobtainable, and perhaps a bit fraudulent.

But when I found out that she had managed to create health, youth and beauty and had cured herself of many ailments, and, often, in her fifties and sixties was mistaken for a woman in her thirties – (she was also offered roles in movies because of this) – I decided to give it a whirl and re-program my subconscious mind.

I had never struggled with being very overweight but I was always about 5 – 7 kilos too heavy. I often felt uncomfortable in my body and hid because of it. I know… this isn’t good for women’s liberation and I probably should have just accepted the weight I was, but I was often bloated, particularly around the face, hands and belly, and I didn’t feel beautiful.

Also, like most women,…sigh… I had done many diets and couldn’t keep them up, so I was trapped in that oh-too-familiar cycle of deprivation and binging and no sustained weight loss.

But this book, changed it all, and you don’t need to diet AT ALL!

I won’t disclose her method because I want you to buy her book and get thin healthily. (I’m not an affiliate. She died in 1956). Also, I want you to read it because it is has a wealth of knowledge and information that every serious spiritual seeker should read.

She is a master manifestor and knows how to show you how to re-program your subconscious mind to create whatever you desire.

I am indebted to her wisdom and am a life-long devotee to her teachings because she showed me how to get thin without having to change myself externally in any way. I rarely think about my weight and mostly feel great in my body.

Let’s step out of the pain-addiction cycles of dieting, and change our energy to get thin and healthy!
