Wherever You Go, Take the Light With You

Wherever You Go, Take the Light With You

A mantra for the modern mystic:

Wherever you go, take your light with you –

Your inner-most sacred light that makes your feet touch the pavement lightly, and your crown chakra soar.

Wherever you go, take your soul with you –

You inner-most divine self that watches silenlty, guarding over you as you move through the world.

Wherever you go, take your self-esteem with you –

Your solar-plexus rocking awesomeness that lights up and heals the world.

Wherever you go, take your kindness with you –

Your innate empath self that loves to reach out, touch and heal.

Wherever you go in the world, take your psychic gifts of perception and discernment –

Your god-given gifts of insight and intuition that help you step out of harm’s way and stay on your path.

Wherever you go in the world, endeavour to stay eternally connected to your core lightness and light – your birth right to be magnificent and powerful.

You are the light. You are the Universe.

You are the beauty in this world.

Let’s endeavour never to forget this.

You're waking each morning in a state of angst. Your heart is racing, the bed sheets are tossed and rumpled, and you feel sweaty and slack. Something is wrong; very wrong. Before you swing your legs out of bed and begin your day, you stay lying down and take a moment to analyse your life.  "What is going on with me?" you ask yourself, "I've been feeling this way for weeks!?" Your start to scan your life, thinking of everything that could be making you feel this way.

For some reason I'm rummaging around in Mum's old white bookshelf. I'm unsure why I got the sudden urge to pull books out, quickly scan their covers, and shove them back into the shelf. But then it catches my eye— a small, old, tattered blue-coloured book with a lily flower on the front. It's my Grandmother Jean's book; the book she wrote while she was dying of cancer in 1978, when she was only fifty-five years of age with two of her seven children still in their teens and living at home.

Male + Female rights, feminism

Heh, wait a minute. Feminism is about equality, not the belittling or putting down of men. What happened this morning in my yoga class is typical of the types of responses I'm hearing from women lately.
