Part 2 – How to Survive in a Toxic World (and not get sick and worried)

We live in a toxic world. It’s undeniable. But how do we live with this knowledge and not fall into fear?

Do the shadow work.

During this time of the great cosmic shift, our energy is quickly moving up into our higher chakras. As this happens, our shadow – (our trauma, pain and problems in our lower chakras) – is rising to the surface. Our shadows are “coming forth” to be understood and healed.

This process isn’t only individual. It’s also collective.

All around the world, tens of thousands (perhaps millions) of people’s shadows are rising. They are rising up from our energy fields and moving out into the world.

Our internal turbulence is creating the external turbulence. As within, as without.

The external turbulence of the world – (war, political unrest, climate crises, breakneck-speed development of the internet and technology, etc) – is making us feel even more unsettled. This is why we are in the years of the shadow.

The years of great uncertainty.

This can feel like being caught in a nasty rip and being dragged out to sea. Instead of fighting against the rip (and most likely drowning), we need to learn to let ourselves be dragged out to sea.

We need to learn to “flow” with it. Then we’ll be carried to higher and more spiritual waters.

The age of the shadow isn’t trying to kick our butt. It’s trying to clean up and better our lives!

The Shadow Work

The first thing I did when I saw radiation in my energy field – (after I freaked out!) – was to process my fear. I sat and became calm, and began to work on my chakras.

I knew the toxicity in my body would only increase if I felt fear.

So I become “present,” and started raising my vibration through the chakra cleanse meditation. Then, I sat with my fear and worked on releasing it.

For me, finding hope in the darkness is not about wanting the darkness to go away or stop. It's about learning to find my way within it. For whatever reason, darkness doesn't—hasn't—frightened me the way it seems to frighten others.

What!? Are we really at the end of 2017? My goodness, where did this year go?  I honestly don't know. Suddenly it was January 1st, 2017, and just as suddenly it's almost January 1st, 2018. This year felt like a shinkansen (bullet train). In a blink of an eye, it's passed. If you're anything like me, you also found this year challenging. It was difficult, stretching, and confronting. It was shadowy. For me it was a year of deep revelations and even deeper lessons. I learned a ton. I cried a ton. And truth be told, I struggled a ton, too.

You're waking each morning in a state of angst. Your heart is racing, the bed sheets are tossed and rumpled, and you feel sweaty and slack. Something is wrong; very wrong. Before you swing your legs out of bed and begin your day, you stay lying down and take a moment to analyse your life.  "What is going on with me?" you ask yourself, "I've been feeling this way for weeks!?" Your start to scan your life, thinking of everything that could be making you feel this way.
